About Us

Climate Change Conversations in Libraries (C3L) is an emerging network of libraries of all types (e.g. public, academic, school, governmental, archives) bringing their communities together to vision and manifest a resilient, just future.

In these times of political, economic, and social disruption, libraries endure as places of stability and life-long learning. Libraries are a “third space,” offering resources and meeting/learning spaces (usually free) that foster social connection alongside intellectual and creative activities. Libraries are well-positioned to host conversations on challenging topics (e.g. climate change, institutional racism), inviting all voices to the table and amplifying civic solidarity.
